You can close the frozen program from there. This will display all the tabs which are currently open on your system. To do that, simply press the Windows + Tab key simultaneously, and it will pop up with a multitasking mode. You can easily create virtual desktops to get rid of your frozen screen. Just press the Windows and arrow key at the same time to exit the full-screen mode and then open the task manager from the taskbar. If you just have one monitor, you can close the unresponsive application easily. Now, simply press the Windows and left/right Arrow keys together on your keyboard, and this will exit the full-screen mode and bring the task manager to your second screen, where you will be able to select and kill the frozen game.
